  • Respecting nature and travelling mindfully is the subject of my latest blog post. As a avid traveller I feel it's also my repsponsibility to make sure I spend my money wisely. So I make sure I don't support zoos, or places that treat animals badly. This means knowing the difference between the white lion protection trust and a canning zoo. Hunting or disrespecting animals in any way for the perfect photo or experience is beyond appaling. Doing some research, knowing about these things and then supporting the right orgainsations when you do travel and spend your dollars, can make all the difference. Travelling mindfully for me is the only way to travel. The photo is from an elephant rescue centre in Thailand - not a zoo. #animals #wildlife #sustainabletravel #ecotourism #respectnature #travelmindfully #slowtravel #travelwise #animallovers #conservation #loveanimals #worthmorealive #wildlifeprotection
  • Naked winter trees, yet the sky is blue, which was once a rarity. And while it's not in the photo many of the trees are in bud, others are blossoming and the small flowers are out on what looks like a perfect spring day. Has someone replaced the London I once knew with a kinder sunnier version? I am not sure what it is, but I am out and enjoying the weather and the flowers. This is Grovelands park in the Winchmore Hill area of North London, a gorgeous big park full of friendly people. Not sure if the people here that all keep saying hello are just incredibly friendly or as thrilled about the nice weather as I am. Might be a mix of both - as on days like this we need to smile and enjoy - even if the trees are still bare. #lovenature #londonparks #sunnydays #nakedwinter #greenlondon #clearskies #springishere #winchmorehill #grovelandspark #londonlife #greencities #gooutside #myhood #beautifulnature #allnatural #nofilter
